Overview

On March 6, 1982, 17-year-old Tammy Carter disappeared from her part-time job at a Moore, Oklahoma dry cleaners. Her body was found the next day floating in a nearby river. Authorities do their best to ring the bell of justice for Tammy and prosecute the three men accused of the puzzling crime.

Director Statement

I’ve never understood how an event as tragic as this could happen to a friend in our hometown of Moore, Oklahoma. In search for answers, I grabbed a video camera in 2009 and started interviewing Tammy Carter’s family, friends and the authorities that were involved in this case.

In this documentary you will not only experience the horrific tragedy and death of an innocent teen, you will witness the hurt and pain felt by her family and a community. You will question the motive, the suspects, the defense, and the prosecution. You will question if the survivors just needed closer or if justice was truly served.  You may indeed question the justice system and due diligence, but above all you experience the heartache of a family and community who lost a loved one.
